Today, a student left me a wonderful surprise. It was a bunch of hearts that had very not nice things written on them. Nice. I am a bit saddened by it. I am saddened because the state of the world seems to be falling apart at the seams. When I was a child, teen, student...even now, I would never do something like that. Ever. That would be an embarrassement to me and to my family. However, today, in what the world has evolved is common, it is common to have these difficulties. How sad is that?
And, on a personal level, I love what I do! This seems to be a small set back. I knew that kids would not like me. However, how can someone do that? Do I really deserve all that was written on the hearts? (No. No one does.) In the grand scheme of things...don't burn your bridges, because family might be all that you can come home to...

We were talking about this at dinner. My daughter said something like "I hope their families care...but, some don't." Bishop piped up and said "I am glad that I get punished." lol...I never thought in a million years, I would ever hear come out of his mouth that my child is glad that their are specific perimeters and boundries that he knows not to cross. lol...

I made Jason some chocolate covered strawberries, and had a knife engraved for him that says "Shake and Bake." He and I will be best friends forever! He sent me roses, chocolates, and gave me a teddy bear that sings "I Just Called to Say I Love you..."

I gave my son and my daughter some candy. I am very glad that I have something nice to come home to. I am glad that I am no longer lonely...thinking that this day was

So, on this day of Love...Happy Valentine's Day! I am going to buy my dad a late present!
